Gavin Rossdale is spilling that his and Gwen Stefani's eldest sons are carving their own paths in music without leaning on parental fame. The 60-year-old insists talent trumps connections every time.
On the And The Writer Is... podcast with Ross Golan, Rossdale addressed nepo baby chatter head-on. "People talk a lot about nepo babies and stuff like that," he said, adding that Jeff Buckley proved quality wins out.
One of the boys, now out of school, is recording tracks solo and shutting down all dad advice. Rossdale told him the music grind is brutal but encouraged practice anyway.
Co-parenting with Stefani remains a "two-lane highway" that never merges, he noted in March comments. His main goal? Raising likable kids who aren't jerks.
So... will the boys drop tracks soon, or keep the mystery going?
