The Giant Loop Ride will hold its 15th annual event at Crane Hot Springs over the May 28-31 weekend in 2026. The rally welcomes any off-road bike with a license plate and features routes suited for novice and advanced riders alike. Basecamp remains at the hot springs, with various camping options available.
Giant Loop, possibly under new management, continues its tradition of events aligned with its motto, “Go Light, Go Fast, Go Far.” The company is organizing the 15th running of its rally at Crane Hot Springs in eastern Oregon, surrounded by the Alvord Desert and Steen Mountain. Riders can explore long, scenic routes including two-track paths, gravel roads, dry lake beds, and sandy sections, designed for all bike sizes in a run-what-ya-brung format—not limited to any brand, as long as the off-road bike has a license plate. Routes cater to novices, advanced riders, and everyone in between, promising thrilling adventures through backcountry tracks. At basecamp, participants can relax in the hot springs to ease post-ride fatigue. The event includes on-site bike demos from OEMs (lineup to be announced), a vendors’ area for equipment and farkles, rider skill development clinics, presentations, raffles, and giveaways. Registration covers dry camping, with upgrades available for RV hookups, cabins, teepees, or suites—though these are limited. The rally typically sells out, so early signup is advised via the official website.
