James K has launched a remix album based on his previous release Friend, featuring contributions from Objekt, Jasss, and others. Two tracks, including Objekt's remix of 'Play,' were released today. The full album arrives on April 24 via AD 93.

James K announced a new remix album drawing from tracks on his 2025 album Friend. Contributors include Objekt, whose remix of 'Play' marks his first such effort in over a decade, and Berlin-based producer Jasss with her 'Purple Mix' of 'N’Balmed.' Both remixes became available today. Other artists involved are Coil veteran Drew McDowall, Hesaitix (also known as M.E.S.H.), Loidis, and Arushi Jain. The album, titled Friend Remixes, will be released April 24 on the label AD 93. James K described the project in a statement: “Friends remix Friend. It is such a sweet honor to have my friends and collaborators, whose work has inspired mine, interpret and translate this work into new narratives.” The tracklist includes: 01 Days Go By (K Wata Remix), 02 Blinkmoth (Special Guest DJ VIP), 03 Doom Bikini (Hesaitix Remix), 04 Idea.2 (Yushh Remix), 05 N’Balmed (JASSS Purple Mix), 06 Rider (Drew McDowall Remix), 07 On God (Roza Terenzi Remix), 08 Peel (Loidis Remix), 09 Play (Objekt Remix), 10 Lung Slide (Stone Remix), 11 Hypersoft Lovejinx Junkdream (Priori Remix), 12 Collapse (Arushi Jain Remix).
