Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow expressed high expectations for the 2026 team during minicamp this week, drawing comparisons to his national championship LSU squad from 2019.
Burrow said the Bengals have filled roster holes with additions including defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence and other veterans acquired through trades and free agency. He noted the team's mindset of expecting to win every game while aiming for a Super Bowl title.
"You go back and watch what I've said before [the] 2019 season at LSU. I feel very similarly about this team," Burrow said. He added that he is excited to ramp up toward training camp next month.
The comments come as the Bengals seek to return to the success of their early decade Super Bowl and AFC title game appearances. Wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase, also from the 2019 LSU team, remains a key offensive piece.
