An unreleased John Prine track called World Without Love has been made available ahead of the full release of the archival album Found Dogs.
The song appears on Found Dogs, an album of five previously unreleased tracks and alternate versions set to arrive on streaming services October 9 via Oh Boy Records.
The album marks the 30th anniversary of Prine’s 1995 release Lost Dogs & Mixed Blessings. It also includes a cover of Johnny Horton’s All for the Love of a Girl along with alternate takes of several Prine songs.
A lyric video for World Without Love uses Super 8 footage of Prine from a family vacation in the early 1970s. The project coincides with ongoing tributes for what would have been the singer-songwriter’s 80th birthday under the title Souvenirs: 80 Years of John Prine.
Last month Oh Boy issued the 2010 concert recording Live at Old Town School of Folk.
