A new behind-the-scenes video for Jurassic Park: Survival has uncovered a storyboard hinting at a thrilling jeep chase sequence inspired by the 1993 film. The sequence features a Gallimimus stampede over a vehicle with protagonist Dr. Maya Joshi inside. The game, developed by Saber Interactive, places players on Isla Nublar the day after the original movie's events.

Overview

Jurassic Park: Survival is an upcoming first-person action-adventure game set on Isla Nublar, the island from Steven Spielberg's 1993 Jurassic Park film. Players take on the role of Dr. Maya Joshi, an InGen scientist played by Payal Mistry, who remains stranded after failing to evacuate. The game blends stealth and action gameplay, requiring players to use distractions, ingenuity, and the environment to survive dinosaur encounters.

Behind-the-Scenes Reveal

A summer featurette video showcased the development process, with Saber Interactive and Universal executives detailing their recreation of Isla Nublar using film archives, production stills, and blueprints. The video emphasizes authenticity in dinosaur models, textures, movements, and behaviors. Familiar locations like the Visitor Center return, alongside new areas such as a guest hotel.

Eagle-eyed fans spotted a storyboard in a depicted boardroom scene, illustrating a high-stakes jeep chase. It shows a herd of Gallimimus stampeding over a jeep carrying Maya, echoing the original film's vehicle-based action sequences, like the T-Rex breakout and gas jeep chase.
