Keiser University's indoor track and field athletes concluded the Legends of Alachua County Invitational on Sunday with impressive results in throws and hurdles. The men's team saw a school record set in the shot put, while the women's squad delivered solid performances in shot put and the 800 meters. Held at the Alachua County Sports and Events Center in Gainesville, Florida, the meet highlighted several top finishes for the Seahawks.
The Legends of Alachua County Invitational came to a close on Sunday at the Alachua County Sports and Events Center in Gainesville, Florida, where Keiser University's men's and women's indoor track and field teams competed. For the men, Casey Wood led the way with a second-place finish in the shot put, throwing 15.85 meters to establish a new Keiser school record. Christian Nicolas also performed well, securing sixth place with a mark of 13.52 meters. In the 60-meter hurdles, Rameau Estime earned fourth place in 8.38 seconds. Other Seahawks in the shot put included Landon Campbell in 15th at 12.19 meters, along with Anthony Alcazar and Shyloh Nicholson.
On the women's side, Niesha Aldajuste placed sixth in the shot put with 10.17 meters, followed by Trinity Dorvil in 11th at 9.35 meters. Camille Romero rounded out the strong showings with a seventh-place finish in the 800 meters, timing 2:20.50.
These results underscore the Seahawks' competitive edge in field events and middle-distance running at this early-season invitational. Keiser's track and field program continues to build momentum, with fans encouraged to follow updates on social media.
