On March 2, 2018, Addis Ababa City Administration's Kenteba Adanech Aba Abe handed over residential units to various community segments. Through their social media message, they provided a modern G+4 residential building in Lidata Kebele to people facing social challenges, those at low-income levels, individuals with disabilities, and elderly residents. Kenteba stated that this building was handed over with pride as 'a home for the homeless.'

Additionally, they noted providing 20 houses to residents in challenging conditions, such as mud houses, shanty dwellings, and homes affected by demolitions. Describing Addis Ababa as an example in population works, Kenteba mentioned that since the Minister of Labor and Skills issued a directive to work righteously, over the past seven years, through construction activities and begging services, more than 45,000 housing units have been made available to the needy for accommodation.

The residential building, constructed in four months by coordinating with beggars and dismantling five neighboring houses, enabled 70 apartments to become available for occupancy. This construction utilized donated materials appropriately and was built to a high quality standard. It maintains quality levels, provides comfort for people with disabilities, respects human dignity, and is a modern house equipped with complete facilities. Kenteba stated that the city belongs to all of us; with thinking and love, even better work can be done. They affirmed that efforts will continue with determination to reach more people. In coordinating this construction with affected institutions and owners, Kenteba Office Head Ato Tilahun Werqu extended thanks to donors and organizations.
