Kentucky man charged with attempted fetal homicide

A 26-year-old Kentucky man faces charges after police say he replaced his pregnant girlfriend's medication with abortion pills. Abdullah Mohmand of Bowling Green was arrested and booked into the Barren County Jail without bond.

Police say the woman contacted authorities on Monday after discovering her prescribed medication had been swapped with an unknown substance. She told investigators she was pregnant and feared for the safety of her unborn child, according to a Kentucky State Police release. Officers obtained a search warrant for Mohmand's residence and found misoprostol, which matched the substance at the woman's home.
