KURA reveals Spanish loan funded Ngong-Naivasha Road Flyover

The Kenya Urban Roads Authority has disclosed that a soft loan from Spain financed the Ksh3.8 billion Ngong-Naivasha Road Flyover project.

The 820-metre project, which includes a 250-metre bridge, was built by Spanish firm Centunion in 22.5 months instead of the planned 36 months.

Kinoti said the loan carried an interest rate of almost zero point something per cent with a repayment period of nearly 40 years. President William Ruto thanked Spain during the June 29 commissioning.

Project manager Pablo Acosta said strong cash flow enabled early completion to avoid disruptions ahead of the 2027 AFCON.
