A man in his 30s has been detained on suspicion of murdering a man in his 50s in Märsta north of Stockholm. The incident occurred on Sunday morning in an apartment building.
Police were alerted at 11:30 on Sunday after residents heard screams in the building. A severely injured man in his 50s was found in an apartment. Despite efforts by police and ambulance, he died at the scene. A man in his 30s was later arrested in the building and detained on suspicion of murder. Police have also brought in another person for questioning, but that individual is not suspected of any crime. – We assess this as an isolated incident, says police spokesperson Daniel Wikdahl. The crime scene has been cordoned off for technical examination.
