Man falls into Eskilstuna River and is rescued by bystanders

A man fell into the Eskilstuna River on Friday morning but was quickly rescued by bystanders who threw a lifebuoy.

The incident occurred shortly before nine o'clock near Nybron Bridge. Rescue services were alerted by bystanders and were already nearby on another call which enabled a swift response.

Kenneth Karlsson, duty officer at the rescue services, confirmed that the man was taken to hospital for a medical check. He stated that the man was feeling well after the event.
