Mexican vedette Merle Uribe shared details of her relationship with Diego Armando Maradona in 1986. The actress described the footballer as the best lover she has had. The encounter took place around the Mexico World Cup.
Merle Uribe said she met Maradona at a hotel in Naucalpan when he was visiting his family before concentrating for the tournament. A friend collected a package sent by Maradona's brother Raúl, known as Lalo. At the hotel reception, Uribe saw Maradona come out with his father and other companions.
The two met at a small disco near the hotel. Uribe recounted that Maradona invited her to his room that same night. They later met on three more occasions during the World Cup when she picked him up at Club América facilities.
Uribe specified that the relationship ended when the tournament concluded. She recalled that Maradona mentioned the Hand of God goal to her after the final. She was 28 and he was 25 at the time.
