Netflix removes She-Ra and the Princesses of Power after license expires

All seasons of the animated series She-Ra and the Princesses of Power have been pulled from Netflix following the expiration of its exclusivity deal with DreamWorks. The show, which concluded in 2020, is no longer available to stream on the platform. This change occurred in February 2026.

The removal stems from a licensing agreement between Netflix and DreamWorks that expired after several years of exclusive distribution. Created by ND Stevenson, the series had been branded as a Netflix Original despite the underlying rights remaining with DreamWorks.

No complete physical or video-on-demand release exists for the full run. Only the first three seasons received DVD editions in 2019, leaving the final two seasons inaccessible outside the former streaming home.

Series creator ND Stevenson noted on X in December 2025 that the outcome had been anticipated, citing similar expirations for other DreamWorks titles including Voltron: Legendary Defender. That show departed Netflix at the end of 2024 and later received a full DVD set.

Stevenson expressed hope that She-Ra and the Princesses of Power would eventually find a new home with a complete physical release, though no timeline has been confirmed.
