Nottingham Forest confirm Vitor Pereira exit ahead of Glasner appointment

Nottingham Forest have confirmed that head coach Vitor Pereira has left the club. Oliver Glasner is expected to replace him at the City Ground. The club also agreed to sell midfielder Elliot Anderson to Manchester City for a fee up to £130 million.

Nottingham Forest confirmed on Thursday that Vitor Pereira has departed after the club exercised a mutual break clause in his contract. Pereira took charge in February and became the team's fourth head coach of the 2025-26 season. He guided Forest to a 16th-place finish in the Premier League and the Europa League semi-finals.

A club statement thanked Pereira and his staff for their work. It noted their role in securing Premier League status and reaching the Europa League semi-finals. The statement added that the coaching team of Filipe Almeida, Luis Miguel, Bruno Moura, Marco Knoop and Pedro Lopes also left.

Forest are now set to appoint Oliver Glasner, who departed Crystal Palace at the end of last season. Glasner won the FA Cup, Community Shield and Conference League during his time at Selhurst Park. The Anderson transfer agreement was confirmed earlier on Thursday.
