Peter Karlsson has taken over as the new board chairman of Mora IK following the club's annual meeting at the end of June. The former municipal director in Mora brings leadership experience and a commitment to the local community.
Karlsson steps into the role with a focus on financial stability as the top priority. He stressed that the economy underpins all club activities and must remain under control.
The new chairman aims to strengthen the club's brand, draw back fans and develop youth programs over the next two years. He hopes to build a stable organization with strong values and sustainable operations.
While avoiding firm sporting promises, Karlsson acknowledged the long-term ambition of returning to the SHL. He described it as a dream that requires many steps to achieve.
Karlsson noted the deep importance of hockey to the Mora community, particularly when the team performs well. He highlighted past figures such as Johan Persson, Jeremy Colliton, Daniel Hermansson and Peter Hermodsson for their contributions.
