Pitbull achieved a Guinness World Records on Friday in London for the largest gathering of people wearing bald caps. More than 22,000 fans joined him at Hyde Park during the BST Festival.
The rapper headlined the event and wore a bald cap himself to qualify for the record, which is not limited to naturally bald individuals. Guinness World Records official Will Munford confirmed that 400 volunteers checked entrants individually, supported by drone footage from 42 counters backstage.
Pitbull accepted the award with a statement expressing surprise at the achievement. “I’m speechless. Who would have thought a first-generation Cuban would be record-breaking and record-making?” he said.
The idea originated from a fan suggestion. Jack Remmington posted a viral TikTok video proposing that the festival’s 65,000 capacity could break the record. Pitbull had announced the attempt in February and encouraged supporters to attend wearing bald caps.
