Polish band Źrenice releases video for second single Neuroza

The Polish band Źrenice, known in English as Pupils, has unveiled a video for their second single, Neuroza, from their upcoming debut album Śnienie. Formed in 2022, the group blends alternative rock, metal, and folk elements. The album is set for release on March 18, 2026, via Via Nocturna.

The band Źrenice originated in June 2022, following the final concert of a previous project involving four of its current members. They focused on developing the instrumental base for their debut album Śnienie over the subsequent months, while seeking a suitable vocalist. In 2024, Kamila Kuś joined as singer, advancing the creative momentum.

Śnienie combines alternative rock and metal with post-rock, black and sludge metal influences, alongside folk-inspired mysticism and dreamlike narratives. The album was recorded by Krzysztof Godycki at Studio Roslyn, associated with Mord’A’Stigmata. Mixing and mastering were handled by Haldor Grunberg at Satanic Audio, which has worked with acts like Behemoth, Dom Zły, Entropia, Terrestrial Hospice, and Hostia. The single's cover artwork comes from Bartosz Gorzel and Łukasz Hawryluk. It will launch digitally and on CD through Via Nocturna, with pre-orders available.

Released on February 13, 2026, Neuroza is now streaming on major platforms. As the second single, it explores themes of self-trust and stepping into the unknown, paying homage to Neurosis through its title and opening bass riff. The band describes it as: “Neuroza is a story about confronting a part of one’s identity stuck in the past and the fear of change. An encounter with ‘the character I know’ deepens the disorientation and anxiety, in which the desire for change clashes with fear. The symbolic forest becomes an emotional state leading through resistance and anxiety towards crossing one’s own boundaries. Fear here is not just a threat, but a guide to deeper knowledge and breaking out of the illusory sense of security.”

The album tracklist includes: 01. Brama Lasu, 02. Neuroza, 03. Inni, 04. Endymion, 05. Stara Chata, 06. Czarownica, 07. Sam, 08. …Lasu Skraj.

The lineup features Kamila Kuś on vocals, Maciej Ciupa on drums, Łukasz Hawryluk on guitar, Hubert “Huwer” Pomykała on bass, and Krzysztof K. Pomykała on guitar. Źrenice maintains an active presence on social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkTree.
