Portugal's Judicial Police arrested Ygor Daniel Zago, known as 'Hulk', suspected of ties to the PCC and involvement in drug trafficking and adulterated fuel sales. He was detained with his wife, Fernanda Ferrari Zago, in an operation aimed at extradition to Brazil. The arrest took place on Saturday (15).
Ygor Daniel Zago, nicknamed 'Hulk', was arrested by Portugal's Judicial Police on Saturday (15), as announced by Portuguese authorities. He is identified as the leader of a criminal organization linked to the Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC), a Brazilian gang. Hulk was on Interpol's red notice list after the São Paulo Court of Justice issued a preventive arrest warrant for crimes of criminal organization, money laundering, and active corruption, aimed at extradition.
The arrest took place alongside his wife, Fernanda Ferrari Zago, accused of involvement in money laundering activities. According to Portuguese police, the group engaged in the illegal trade of fuel adulterated with methanol, operating in a structured manner 'with a clear division of functions.' Hulk was responsible for decisions, issuing orders to subordinates, and managing the group's financial resources.
Investigations began in 2023 following the seizure of 30,000 liters of methanol, which allowed authorities to trace the illicit product's origin. In Brazil, Hulk had previously been sentenced to 29 years in prison for involvement in international drug trafficking. He was captured in 2021 in Riviera de São Lourenço, on the northern coast of São Paulo, but was granted permission to await appeal in freedom.
Authorities identified illicit funds in Fernanda Ferrari Zago's bank account stemming from the criminal activities. Luxury vehicles used by other group members were also seized. The Folha report could not reach the couple's defense.
