Ravi Mohan drops 'Bro Code' title after court injunction in trademark dispute

Tamil filmmaker Ravi Mohan has dropped the 'Bro Code' title for his upcoming pan-Indian action comedy amid an ongoing trademark dispute with an alcohol brand, following a Madras High Court injunction that initially protected production. The new title is undisclosed as filming continues.

Ravi Mohan has announced the removal of 'Bro Code' as the working title for his debut production under Ravi Mohan Studios, starring himself and SJ Suryah, directed by Karthik Yogi. This follows a December 2025 trademark challenge by New Delhi-based Indo Bevs Private Limited, owners of the 'Bro Code' alcohol brand trademark.

Despite Ravi Mohan securing a Madras High Court injunction restraining interference with production, publicity, or release, the team has opted to change the title to avoid further legal issues. Varnam Malaysia reported the update on March 12, 2026.

No new timeline, casting expansions, or title reveal have been shared. This resolution highlights persistent challenges in title selection for South Indian films amid strict trademark enforcement.
