Ringo Starr announces East Coast tour dates

Ringo Starr has announced a series of East Coast tour dates for his All-Starr Band this fall.

The upcoming shows follow a string of West Coast performances. The current lineup includes Steve Lukather, Colin Hay, Warren Ham, Hamish Stuart, Gregg Bissonette, and Buck Johnson.

The tour marks Starr's first performance at Forest Hills Stadium in Queens since the Beatles played there in 1964. Dates run from September 24 in Easton, Pennsylvania, through October 7 in Albany, New York.

Starr, who turns 86 this year, also issued his annual call for peace and love at noon on his birthday.

The announcement comes amid a busy period for the former Beatles, including new solo albums and a duet with Paul McCartney.
