Former striker Ronaldo Fenômeno and former full-back Roberto Carlos are close to becoming shareholders in Inter de Limeira through a SAF. The project involves engineer Enrico Ambrogini and foresees up to R$ 20 million in investments in the first years.
Ronaldo and Roberto Carlos are part of an investor group seeking to acquire a majority stake in Inter de Limeira's SAF. The 112-year-old São Paulo club leads Série C of the Brazilian league and will compete in Série A2 of the Campeonato Paulista.
The project is led by Enrico Ambrogini, who previously worked with Ronaldo at Valladolid and Cruzeiro. A memorandum of understanding has been signed and the proposal must be approved in assembly by the end of August.
At a recent meeting of the Deliberative Council, only one of about 50 councilors voted against the deal. The plan includes investments in youth categories and administrative modernization, with a target of R$ 454 million in revenue over ten years.
