Soprano Claron McFadden to make Brazil debut in August

American soprano Claron McFadden will make her Brazil debut on August 12 and 13 at Sesc Belenzinho in São Paulo.

The artist, based in the Netherlands for more than four decades, will portray Nina Simone in the show "Nina". The production by Italian company Fanny & Alexander blends theater, music and technology.

The performances are part of the fifth edition of SCENA – Italian Contemporary Scene Week. The group received the Prêmio Ubu 2024 award for "Trilogia da Cidade de K.".

McFadden has appeared at venues including the Royal Opera House, La Scala, Salzburg Festival and Festival d'Aix-en-Provence. She has also earned a Grammy nomination for her contemporary music work.
