Suspected object in Gothenburg was harmless

A suspicious object found next to a multi-family house in Gothenburg's Sandarna district turned out to be harmless, police said. The area was cordoned off around 2 p.m. for investigation.

Police in Gothenburg were alerted to the Sandarna district after a suspicious object was discovered next to a multi-family house. Around 2 p.m., the area was cordoned off as authorities could not immediately determine the object's danger without closer examination.

Half an hour later, around 2:30 p.m., the object had been removed from the site. Police stated it posed no threat. The cordons were therefore lifted shortly afterward.

The incident occurred on November 8, 2025, and was reported by Aftonbladet. No injuries or threats to the public are mentioned in connection with the find. Police emphasize the importance of reporting suspicious objects to ensure safety in residential areas.
