Swedish model scout Daniel Siad, 69, has come forward to deny allegations linking him to Jeffrey Epstein's abuses and a rape accusation from the 1990s. He claims his collaboration with Epstein was professional and that he never introduced minors. Siad also denies a rape allegation by Swedish woman Ebba P Karlsson in France.
Daniel Siad, a 69-year-old Swedish model scout born in Algeria, has worked as a scout for Jeffrey Epstein since 2009. He was introduced to Epstein by French model scout Jean-Luc Brunel, who took his own life in 2022 following links to Epstein's network. In recently released emails, Siad appears in hundreds of messages where he sends photos and descriptions of women, including comments on their age and appearance, such as 'girls' aged 15 to 17.
Siad firmly denies sending minors to Epstein. 'I have never introduced any minors to him,' he tells Expressen. He describes the collaboration as strictly professional, with meetings in Paris for castings involving two or three models at a time. Siad claims he never met Epstein privately, visited his island, or joined him for dinners.
Over the nearly ten years of contact, Siad received payments from Epstein, including a loan of about 250,000 SEK in 2017. He recruited women from several countries but claims no Swedish models were referred to Epstein. According to the emails, Epstein praised Siad's 'best taste' and requested 'girls' for an apartment in Paris.
Alongside the Epstein disclosures, Ebba P Karlsson has reported Siad for rape in France in the 1990s. Siad confirms meeting her over 30 years ago but denies the allegation: 'I have never raped a model in my life.' He portrays himself as a victim and is willing to cooperate with authorities in Sweden, France, or elsewhere.
U.S. authorities knew of Siad since at least 2016, pointed out by Brunel as a recruiter. Despite Epstein's prior conviction for sex crimes against minors, the contacts continued. Siad has lived periodically in Cuba and Dubai and maintained international connections, including links to the Castro family. No current Swedish police investigations against him exist.
