A Swedish member of parliament is under investigation for child pornography offenses following a tip from a US organization. Suspicions remain after questioning last week.

The police department for special investigations brought the member of parliament in for questioning last week. During a house search at the home several electronic devices were seized and are now being analyzed.

Prosecutor Lena Körner at the Special Prosecutor's Chamber confirmed that questioning has taken place. The person was released after the interview but suspicions remain according to her.

The investigation concerns child pornography offenses at an unknown location in Sweden. The case was registered in mid-April after tips from the US organization NCMEC.
