Swedish Ski Federation welcomes 20 new clubs

The Svenska Skidförbundet has added 20 new associations during the 2025/26 season. The clubs represent nine districts across Sweden, from Norrbotten in the north to Skåne in the south.

The new members include groups focused on skiing, snowboarding, and related activities. Several also participate in other sports and decided to organize their winter sports efforts through the federation.

Norrbottens Skidförbund gained the most with five new clubs. Jämtland-Härjedalens Skidförbund and Stockholms Skidförbund each added four. The associations gain access to insurance through Folksam, district and national competitions, training programs, and financial support.

Examples of the new clubs are Ektjärns Idrottsförening, Fenix Cross Country Skiing Club, Fjätervålen Sports Club, and Värdelösa Seriösa Löpare Idrottssällskap. The federation thanked all clubs for their voluntary work and invited additional groups to apply for membership ahead of the 2026/27 season.
