Tesla owner completes 20,000 mile FSD streak

David Moss has driven more than 20,000 consecutive miles in his Tesla Model 3 using Full Self-Driving software without any human intervention. The Tacoma, Washington resident completed the run over eight months across North America.

Moss used his Model 3 for real-world testing of Tesla's FSD system. The streak covered city streets, highways, construction zones and automated Supercharger entries.

Verification came from the FSD Database run by Omar Qazi, also known as @WholeMars on X, along with Tesla's built-in streak counter. The counter resets on any driver input such as steering wheel touch or brake application.

Moss had earlier completed a 2,732-mile coast-to-coast trip from Los Angeles to Myrtle Beach and a 3,760-mile drive across Canada from Horseshoe Bay to Halifax. Both runs occurred without disengagements. His previous streak ended at 12,961 miles in January due to winter weather.

Tesla AI Software Vice President Ashok Elluswamy and CEO Elon Musk publicly praised the achievement. Moss said the goal was to demonstrate through verified data what the software can achieve on public roads.
