Tesla releases FSD v14 Lite to HW3 testers

Tesla has pushed FSD v14 Lite to early testers of HW3 vehicles. The update brings several interface and performance improvements that align older cars with newer AI4 models. A wide release is expected soon.

Tesla AI head Ashok Elluswamy confirmed on July 20 that the new build is likely headed for broad distribution to AI3 hardware vehicles.

Longtime tester Zack, whose HW3 car received version 2026.20.6.10, reported major quality-of-life gains. These include starting Full Self-Driving directly from park without a brake-pedal confirmation, a blue parking-options tab, streak tracking in the Self-Driving app, and smoother highway behavior.

Release notes state that Tesla distilled intelligence from HW4 v14 into HW3, unlocking reinforcement learning and offline models. The changes improve navigation, merges, pedestrian interactions, traffic-light handling, and comfort through fewer false slowdowns.

Zack noted that highway performance is now nearly as good as AI4, though some issues like a turn-signal bug and double stops during parking remain.
