Timrå to reduce forward roster by one or two players

Timrå plans to cut its forward group from 16 players to 14 or 15 ahead of the new season. Sport chief Kent Norberg said at least one and possibly two forwards will depart via loan or sale. The moves come after the departures of key offensive players Jonathan Dahlén and Elias Pettersson.

Norberg made the comments during an appearance on the Hockeynews podcast. He noted the current roster size exceeds the target and confirmed that trimming is underway.

The reductions form part of a broader shift for the club. With Dahlén and Pettersson now in North America, Timrå is building an offense that relies on contributions from more players rather than star individuals.

New signings Otto Kivenmäki, Dylan McLaughlin and Lucas Forssell are expected to add creativity, speed and development potential. Norberg has emphasized pace as a central element of the new approach.

Expectations for the team remain low among experts, a situation Norberg described as perfect. The club aims to develop a more balanced structure around players such as Linus Eriksson and several younger forwards.
