Tupac Cameo Approved for Stranger Than Heaven Game

Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and Snoop Dogg revealed a Tupac Shakur cameo in the upcoming game Stranger Than Heaven during an appearance at Summer Game Fest on Friday.

The announcement highlighted that the cameo was created without AI and in collaboration with Tupac's estate. Tupac Shakur died in 1996. Control of the estate rests with Tom Whalley, the former head of Warner Bros. Records. He was named trustee by Tupac's mother Afeni Shakur and retained the role after her death in 2016. Tupac's sister Sekyiwa Shakur sued Whalley in 2022. She accused him of embezzling millions and taking excessive compensation while managing Amaru Entertainment. Whalley has denied the allegations. The lawsuit remains ongoing. Whalley has also approved other projects involving Tupac's likeness such as NFTs.
