Ubisoft has revealed extensive information on Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, a full remake of the 2013 game. The title uses new technology and adds fresh content while preserving core elements. It is scheduled to launch on July 9.
The remake is built from the ground up with the engine from 2025's Assassin's Creed Shadows and contains no original code or assets. It keeps the same 16km by 16km map size but adds new islands for denser exploration. Around six hours of new missions, characters, and an expanded endgame are included.
