Spooky Pictures and Image Nation Studios are producing a new feature-length film titled V/H/S: SCP. The project marks the latest entry in the long-running found-footage horror series and the first full-length adaptation of the SCP Foundation universe.
The announcement came on July 6 as the two studios revealed plans to expand the V/H/S franchise into the online collaborative fiction world of the SCP Foundation. Roy Lee and Steven Schneider of Spooky Pictures will produce alongside Josh Goldbloom and Michael Schreiber.
Image Nation Studios CEO Ben Ross and Spooky Pictures’ Rami Yasin are serving as executive producers. Steven Schneider stated that the horror genre serves as a launchpad for new talent and that the SCP universe offers a vital space for creativity.
The SCP Foundation began in 2008 as a digital project and has since grown into a large fan-driven horror and science-fiction universe. V/H/S: SCP will follow the franchise’s found-footage style and frame its anthology segments as recovered field documentation under a containment-breach narrative.
The project is slated for theatrical release in 2027.
