Real Madrid winger Vinicius Jr has a markedly different appearance following chin harmonisation surgery performed in Brazil. The 26-year-old underwent the procedure after Brazil's round of 16 exit to Norway at the World Cup.
The change became public through images shared on the Instagram account of his girlfriend Virginia Fonseca during the opening of her new gym. A separate video showed the player greeting a fan on his birthday.
Vinicius is due to return to Spain soon to begin pre-season training under new manager Jose Mourinho. His contract with Real Madrid expires in one year, raising the possibility of a free transfer in 2027.
In comments made in May, the Brazil international said he has never imagined leaving the club and described mutual trust with the president. He added that both sides remain calm about extending the deal.
Reflecting on the 2025/26 season, Vinicius noted the absence of experienced players such as Nacho, Luka Modric, Dani Carvajal and Toni Kroos contributed to difficulties. He said the squad must learn from the lack of silverware and aim to improve unity next year.
