Volunteers plant over 800 flowers at town sign

A group of locals in Vansbro has taken over maintenance of the entrance sign after the municipality withdrew. They have planted more than 800 flowers to revive the site.

Large metal letters stand at the entrance to Vansbro that used to be filled with flowers each year. When municipal funds ran out, maintenance stopped and the area began to grow over.

A group of local residents known as eldsjälar then took responsibility. They have planted more than 800 flowers to restore the site.

The effort is reported by Falukuriren and described in Dala-Demokraten as a way to give the entrance to Västerdalarna new life.
