Sonam Wangchuk ended his 26-day fast on July 23 while the Cockroach Janata Party said its peaceful protest at Jantar Mantar would continue until Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigns.
Cockroach Janata Party founder Abhijeet Dipke said the group was relieved that Sonam Wangchuk had ended his fast but the peaceful protest at Jantar Mantar would continue until Dharmendra Pradhan resigns.
Wangchuk broke his fast in the presence of Union Ministers JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh. He wrote that the step was taken after long negotiations on various conditions.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed on social media to Wangchuk to follow doctors’ advice and regain his old weight soon.
