The alleged affair case emerged after Wardatina Mawa filed a report on Saturday, November 22, 2025, to Polda Metro Jaya. She accused Inara Rusli of being the third party in her marriage to businessman Insanul Fahmi and claimed to have CCTV footage as evidence. Wardatina shared emotional posts on Instagram @wardatinamawa, including a video of herself crying while driving two weeks prior, when Insanul requested polygamy permission for the second time. "Take video nya 2minggu lalu, ketika suami izin utk plgmi yg ke 2xnya. itu posisi nya baru nongkrong sm beliau lalu aku jpt afnan sekolah dan gakuatttt bgt jd mau nangis kuat2 aja deh dimobil," she wrote on November 24, 2025.
On November 9, 2025, Wardatina's parents met with her in-laws to discuss Insanul's polygamy intentions, which the family opposed. The video showed them crying and apologizing to each other. Wardatina revealed her mother had suspected zina earlier, now confirmed in her view.
Inara's manager, Karina Putri, in Kuningan, South Jakarta, on November 23, 2025, confirmed Inara knows Insanul for business purposes starting a few months ago, but lacks personal details.
