WITIA Creative Show highlights Kenya's art and innovation links

The Women in Technology and Innovation Africa held its 2026 Creative Show in Nairobi on Friday, gathering artists, innovators and officials to discuss ties between art, technology and economic growth.

The event took place at Safari Park Hotel and focused on linking art with digital innovation to create jobs for young people. Creative Economy Secretary Fikirini Jacobs said such platforms can build sustainable opportunities for entrepreneurs.

Micro and Small Enterprises Secretary Susan Mang’eni stressed the need to support artists through policy and market access. Youth Affairs Assistant Director Peter Karanja highlighted the Talent Search Program launched in Kwale County to offer training and business opportunities.

WITIA founder Eunice Pohlmann said Africa’s future lies with creators who blend culture and digital tools. Advisor Dr Bella Namango added that this interaction is changing how cultural heritage is preserved.
