According to officials, Joven Urbano joined the National Penitentiary and Prison Institute (Inpec) on November 3, 2017, through a public call. At the time, she served as a guard at La Esperanza prison in Guaduas, Cundinamarca.

Police made the arrest on the spot and turned her over to the Attorney General's Office. She will face charges for the crime of manufacturing, trafficking, carrying, or possessing firearms, accessories, parts, or ammunition. No injuries or further disruptions were reported during the event.
