Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan said results of the review into free nutritious meals program issues will be submitted to President Prabowo Subianto next month.
A limited meeting chaired by President Prabowo Subianto at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, discussed the free nutritious meals program and village cooperatives.
Zulkifli Hasan said relevant ministries will examine issues of misuse at SPPG kitchen locations and other obstacles over the next month.
The President also asked the National Nutrition Agency to review the adequacy of the Rp15,000 budget per recipient and prioritize communities in the lowest deciles and stunting-prone areas.
National Nutrition Agency Deputy Head Agustina Arumsari quoted the President’s directive that all policy options, including distribution through school canteens, must be studied before decisions are made.
