Irene Choi, who portrays third-year medical student Joy Kwon on The Pitt, previously had a recurring role on the NBC sitcom Community as Annie Kim. The character served as a comedic rival to Annie Edison, played by Alison Brie. Choi appeared in multiple episodes across Seasons 3 and 6.
