Hardline, the hard rock band known for their 1992 debut Double Eclipse, will release their seventh studio album, Shout, on April 17. The album features ten new songs with classic songwriting and modern production, as described by vocalist Johnny Gioeli. The first single, "Rise Up," is accompanied by an official music video.
Hardline's upcoming album Shout marks a continuation of the band's signature sound established with their 1992 classic Double Eclipse. The group, led by American vocalist Johnny Gioeli—who also fronts Axel Rudi Pell and Crush 40—includes Italian musicians: keyboardist Alessandro Del Vecchio of Vanden Plas and Jorn, guitarist Luca Princiotta, bassist Anna Portalupi, and drummer Marco Di Salvia.
Gioeli commented on the album's style: “Our current album features our typical choruses and the classic songwriting style of Double Eclipse supported by a contemporary production and state-of-the-art sound. The album gives you that feeling you get when you roll down your car window and turn up the radio on full blast.” He emphasized the band's consistency, adding, “This band doesn’t want to reinvent its music. Hardline is Hardline, and our fans know what to expect from us!”
The lead single "Rise Up" previews the album's melodic consistency across historical, current, and future elements of Hardline's music. Shout will be available worldwide through Steamhammer on April 17 in various formats, including CD DigiPak, 140-gram black vinyl LP with padded inner sleeve and colored insert, exclusive CD/LP bundles with a shirt via the Steamhammer shop, and digital download plus streaming.
The tracklist comprises: “Shout,” “Rise Up,” “It Owns You,” “When You Came Into My Life,” “Mother Love,” “Rise Above No Fear,” “Candy Love,” “I’m Leaning On It,” “Welcome To The Thunder,” and “Glow.” Pre-orders for all configurations are available now.
