Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide's Rey de Reyes 2026, airing in three weekly parts on FOX in Latin America starting March 14, features Dominik Mysterio defending the AAA Mega Championship against El Hijo del Vikingo in week one, plus a new four-way for the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship added to later weeks.
As announced last week, Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide's annual Rey de Reyes tournament adopts a multi-week format this year, with the live event from Auditorio GNP in Puebla, Mexico, airing across three Saturday episodes beginning March 14, 2026, at 10 ET/7 PT on FOX in Latin America (YouTube and Facebook elsewhere).
Week one highlights include Intercontinental Champion Penta opening the show and presenting an honorary sword to the tournament winner. Key matches: champion Dominik Mysterio defends the AAA Mega Championship against El Hijo del Vikingo, with Mysterio's AAA future on the line if he loses; Flammer's open challenge for the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship; and the Rey de Reyes Final four-way pitting La Parka against 'Original' El Grande Americano, El Grande Americano, and Santos Escobar.
Newly added to week two or three: AAA World Cruiserweight Champion Laredo Kid (reign since December 2024, seven defenses) vs. Jack Cartwheel, Dragon Lee, and T.J. Perkins. Cartwheel tweeted: "I’ve been counted out, I’ve been overlooked, but At Rey De Reyes, I will become the New @luchalibreaaa Crucero Champion! And right after, I will do the world’s best Cartwheel."
This extended showcase builds hype for AAA's top talents.
