The Cali mayor's office began the restitution of the Brisas de las Torres settlement on Wednesday, July 22, in compliance with a court order.
The operation takes place on private land and an electrical servitude strip operated by ISA Intercolombia and Celsia. The National Police, the Cali Personería and the Defensoría del Pueblo are participating.
The procedure aims to reduce risks for families from possible electrical accidents and fires. The mayor's office stated that the action follows the Constitution, the law and Constitutional Court ruling SU-016 of 2021.
Since 2024, the District has held dialogue sessions and characterized about 390 households. Around 100 applied for rental subsidies. Medical and psychosocial care is being provided during the day.
