The Fana 80 competition, organized by Fana Media Corporation in Addis Ababa on Ketit 29, 2018 (March 8, 2026 Gregorian), serves as a talent showcase for winners in modern and traditional dance. He noted that independently organizing such a dance and music competition, unlike previous joint efforts with other media outlets, represents a major milestone for the sector.
The minister stated that participants who reach the finals have opportunities to engage in various programs and affirmed the competition's positive impact. Fana Media Corporation's General Manager, Ato Adamasu Damtew, described Fana 80 as embodying the Ethiopian identity. Currently, it offers a platform for emerging youth in dance skills and creative abilities to gain exposure and practical experience.
