The DKI Jakarta provincial government hosted a 2026 World Cup final watch party at Taman Bendera Pusaka Barito in South Jakarta that drew thousands of residents from Sunday night into early Monday.
The event was a collaboration between the DKI Jakarta provincial government and UniPin to mark the company's 15th anniversary. Thousands of residents watched the match between Spain and Argentina.
Diky Soemarno, Special Staff to the Governor of DKI Jakarta who also serves as Chair of the Youth and Sports Division, expressed gratitude for the partnership. He noted that the activity supports the central government's program to optimize public spaces.
UniPin CEO Ashadi Ang stressed that sports can unite communities. He hoped the event would strengthen cooperation among government, business, and community sectors.
Spain defeated Argentina 1-0 in extra time.
