The Ceccarelli family has re-entered the larger yacht market with a new 40-metre aluminium superyacht from Tuxedo Yachting House. This vessel marks the first in the Ceccarelli Collection, expanding beyond the company's smaller 44- and 54-foot models. The project involves collaborations with established designers and engineers.
Tuxedo Yachting House, launched in 2020 by siblings Laura Ceccarelli and Francesco Ceccarelli, draws on a long family legacy in yacht building. Their father, Aldo Ceccarelli, acquired Cantieri Navali Liguri in 1962, laying the groundwork for the family's involvement in Italy's marine industry. This heritage later connected to the Admiral brand in the early 1980s.
The new superyacht builds on concepts from the Tuxedo White and Tuxedo Blue series but scales up significantly. Francesco Ceccarelli explained, "the aim was to retain balanced, timeless lines while incorporating up-to-date technical solutions and distinctive detailing."
Design contributions include overall styling by Francesco Paszkowski Design, interiors by Margherita Casprini, exterior elements in collaboration with Sebastian Martinez, and naval architecture by NAMES Studio led by Francesco Rogantin. The yacht features sharp, structured lines, such as a raked windscreen on the wheelhouse, an extended sundeck hardtop for shelter, and a sculpted stern for visual impact. At the bow, under the wheelhouse overhang, a protected lounge area includes subtle automotive-inspired details.
Internally, the layout follows a traditional setup with modern materials and finishes that echo the exterior. Soft curves and consistent textures create flow between spaces, and owners can customize the interior to suit their tastes.
Technically, the semi-displacement hull has been optimized via CFD analysis for better efficiency. It comes standard with twin shaft-driven MAN diesel engines, reaching a top speed of 18 knots. The design also accommodates future hybrid propulsion upgrades.
Tuxedo Yachting House has appointed TWW Yachts in Monaco as the central agent for sales of this 40-metre model.
