The incident unfolded around 6 p.m. on February 7, 2026, at the Surajkund International Atmanirbhar Craft Festival in Faridabad, where a high-thrill 'top spin' ride, also known as Tsunami, suddenly malfunctioned. He was declared brought dead at the hospital. Deputy Commissioner Ayush Sinha informed that nine of the injured were admitted to a private hospital and four to the Civil Hospital. He noted that a committee conducted daily inspections of the rides at the venue.

An FIR has been filed against the vendor. All the injured are being provided with the best possible medical treatment." Chief Minister Nayab Saini stated that the Haryana government is fully committed to extending all possible assistance to the injured and their families with utmost promptness and sensitivity.
