In Addis Ababa, Fana Media Corporation has signed an agreement with China Media Group to start broadcasting Chinese documentaries and dramas. This partnership aims to strengthen cultural and diplomatic ties between the two countries.

On March 1, 2018 (Fana Broadcasting Corporate), in Addis Ababa, Fana Media Corporation entered into an agreement with China Media Group. This deal enables the broadcasting of Chinese documentaries and cartoon films as well as dramas on Fana's platforms.

China's special envoy and full ambassador to Ethiopia, Chen Hai, handed over the films to Fana Media Corporation. The ambassador stated that "the dramas aim to strengthen people-to-people ties between Ethiopia and China and to promote cultural exchange."

Fana Media Corporation, with its strong media capacity, has reached a connection level with Chinese media institutions that allows for broadcasting documentaries and dramas. Media outlets play a significant role in comparing cultures, policies, developments, and work practices between countries, as noted.

This collaboration is expected to elevate the diplomatic relations of both nations to a higher level. Fana's chief executive, Adamu Damtew, mentioned that Fana's media outlets are working diligently to inform Ethiopia. The broadcasting of Chinese films will not only strengthen ties but also create opportunities for technical and technological support, as well as knowledge sharing for the organization.
