Solange Knowles has been selected as the face of the new Nike x Jacquemus Moon Shoe campaign, featuring three fresh colorways for spring. The collaborative sneaker, inspired by a historic Nike design, reimagines the original with a balletcore aesthetic. The collection launched exclusively via Jacquemus on March 9, 2026, with wider availability planned for select colors later in the month.
The partnership between Nike and the French luxury brand Jacquemus continues with the release of new iterations of their Moon Shoe collaboration. Originally handcrafted by Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman for the 1972 Olympic trials, the Moon Shoe has been reinterpreted by designer Simon Porte Jacquemus. Three years ago, Jacquemus visited the Nike archives and discovered the silhouette, describing it as "timeless and modern in its simplicity and execution." He saw an opportunity to "write a new story and reinterpret it in our own way."
For the Spring 2026 lineup, the Moon Shoe arrives in Chocolate Brown, Sail, and Soft Pink colorways. The design merges sportswear history with the balletcore trend, featuring an elongated narrow shape akin to a ballet flat, a gathered nylon upper, an elastic heel strap for a snug fit, and a sustainable Nike Grind waffle outsole. Jacquemus highlighted the pale pink edition as rooted in the brand's DNA, calling it a "sensual and naïve color that brings softness and intimacy to the silhouette."
Solange Knowles stars in the campaign imagery, embodying an effortless energy similar to previous wearers like Dua Lipa and Jacob Elordi. The collection launched on March 9, 2026, exclusively through the Jacquemus website and flagship boutiques. The Chocolate Brown and Sail colorways will have a wider global release on March 16 via the Nike SNKRS app and select retailers for $180. This marks the second chapter of the collaboration, following the success of the initial drop last fall.
